Inner Cathedral
Back Home Up Next

The inner cathedral is one of the larger rooms in the cavern. The low area of the room is the site of multiple paleontology digs. At the opposite side of the room, a ladder was placed through a core hole for an easier entrance for electricians when they were first wiring the cavern for lighting. Some forms of life (cave crickets) can be found in this area if you spend the time to search for them. The last picture is a view of a passage that starts in the inner cathedral that leads to an area called the volcano maze. The passage is not accessible to the tour due to the thick mud and vertical terrain.
