The flowing stone of time is one of the last formations in the discovery room. It is believed to be thousands of years old. It forms by water cascading down from the top leaving deposits along the way. The formation actually grows in layers, one layer at a time. The water that flows down the formation mainly goes into the rim pool on the side. The rim pool is about 2 foot deep and actually goes under the formation.
