Several cetacean species including the beluga demonstrate this behaviour at times. (3)

Plays chase with cetacean
Most cetaceans in captivity seem to seem to enjoy this game of chase.(6)

Spy-hop
This behaviour is characterized by raising the head and looking around above water with one or both eyes. It is fairly common in all whales and is very common in belugas. (7) In the wild, the beluga has been seen to hold it's head as much as 1m out of water. In the shallow water, they may use their flukes for support on the bottom.(8)
