1. Bill heads to Rushmore. (16 October 1997) (The full story)
2. 2. The August issue of Premiere Magazine reported that Rushmore is going to come out in
October, which is not true.
3. The 26 September and 2 October issues of Entertainment Weekly features two photos of Bill
Murray in Rushmore and one even said Bill Murray is at his best in this movie and needs an
award!!!
4. Director Wes Anderson said that he wrote the role of Mr. Blume in the stroy for Bill, and now he
really does the role! At first, he doesn't know if Bill will really do the movie or not, they're so
surprising when Bill accepts that. He said Bill's salary for the movie is $9 million, which is nearly the
whole budget of the movie.
5. Anderson also said that he thought of Bill Murray for Bottle Rocket at first, but he never replies.
6. Rushmore receives great reviews from New York and Toronto Film Festivals.
7. December issue of Rolling Stone reserves an Oscar for Murray.  Giving Murray the place of  Best Supporting Actor.
