Poo - Mysterious Prince from the East

PSI ~ Weapons ~ Body ~ Arms ~ Other

[ Poo ] Poo is the fourth and final member of your party. He comes in later in the game, and disappears for a while. Poo lives in the country of Dalaam, which seems to be on a mountain peak high above the clouds. There doesn't seem to be much contact between the rest of Eagleland and Dalaam (even though the restaurant accepts dollars), and both the country and its prince are mysterious to the group and those they meet on their travels. Poo wears a white robe and sandals, and his head is shaved except for a long black ponytail on the top of his head. When Ness eats the Magic Cake, he experiences a vision of Poo in the middle of his Mu Training. After Ness wakes up, Poo teleports to them to join them.

Poo's father is the wise king of Dalaam, and taught his son everything he knows. An old man, [ Poo meditating at the Place of Mu ] called the Storm Master, seems to be a master of PSI and taught Poo the two most powerful PSI abilities in the game: PSI Starstorm A and O. Poo's mother may be dead, she is never seen. Poo is something of a ladies' man, as many of the girls in Dalaam find him attractive and hope to be his future wife. Poo lives in the palace at Dalaam, which is very elegant and large. When out in the village, people don't care if he goes into their homes and through their things - he's the future king, after all!

Poo has a good balance of PSI and Offense. His physical attacks are very strong, plus he has many powerful PSI abilities. [ Poo climbing ] Poo has the unique ability to replenish his PP by drinking water. This is very useful as his PP level is much lower than the others. His Starstorm attacks are the most powerful PSI in the game (plus O puts on a rockin' show!), and are worth the PP spent on them. Poo also has a very useful skill called Mirror. He is such a master of concentration and his energy that if he focuses for a moment, he can turn into a selected enemy! He gains many of the attributes of that enemy, as well as its attacks. Plus he won't be attacked by the enemy since he looks like it! Poo is the first to realize Teleport B, which is one of the most useful PSI skills in the game.

[ Poo leaping ] The main disadvantage to Poo is that he will only get six HP back from any food except the Brain Food Lunch. It's very easy to forget this, and annoying when you accidentally give him some food that would normally replenish 300 HP. Other than the Brain Food Lunch, which restores his HP to full, Poo must be healed by PSI or by eating a loooot of food. Also, Poo can only use certain items. There are only four items in the game that Poo can equip! And you can't buy them in stores... happy hunting...

PSI Cost Level Description
PSI Starstorm A 24 PP N/A The method of "shaking off the stars" that Poo learned in his training. It deals around 360 damage to each enemy, reduces enemy shields by 1, and is incapable of missing. One of, if not the, best PSI powers in the game. Poo realizes this during the battle with Master Barf.
PSI Starstorm O 42 PP N/A The method of "shaking off the stars" which Poo learned in his training. It deals around 720 damage to each enemy. This is best saved for hard bosses, as it is VERY costly in PP. Poo realizes this after talking to the Storm Master in the Cave of the Past.
PSI Freeze A 4 PP N/A Causes a very cold wind to swirl around one enemy, inflicting about 180 damage. May freeze the enemy completely. It also will reduce enemy shields by 1. It may not be so effective against some enemies. Poo starts with this ability.
PSI Freeze B 9 PP N/A Causes a very cold wind to swirl around one enemy, inflicting about 360 damage. May freeze the enemy completely. It also will reduce enemy shields by 1. It may not be so effective against some enemies. This is worth the extra PP, especially at higher levels. Poo starts with this ability.
PSI Freeze G 18 PP 33 Causes a very cold wind to swirl around one enemy, inflicting about 540 damage. May freeze the enemy completely. It will also reduce enemy shields by 1. It may not be so effective against some enemies. Due to PP cost, this is better saved for bosses.
PSI Thunder A 3 PP N/A The enemy is thunder struck for about 120 damage. You may miss when there are few enemies. Eliminates a power or psychic power shield. Good damage for an attack that only uses 3 PP. Poo starts with this ability.
PSI Thunder B 7 PP N/A The enemy is thunder struck for about 120 damage two seperate times. You may miss when there are few enemies. Eliminates a power or psychic power shield. This is only a little stronger than PSI Thunder A. Poo starts with this ability.
PSI Thunder G 16 PP 33 The enemy is thunder struck for about 200 damage three seperate times. You may miss when there are few enemies. Eliminates a power or psychic power shield. This isn't a very powerful attack and will really only waste PP without doing much damage.
PSI Thunder O 20 PP The enemy is thunder struck for about 200 damage four seperate times. You may miss when there are few enemies. Eliminates a power or psychic power shield.
Lifeup A 5 PP N/A Restores 100 HP to one person. Very useful in the early stages of the game, or on group members with low levels. Poo starts with this ability.
Lifeup B 8 PP N/A Restores 300 HP to one person. Can be used even towards the end of the game. Poo starts with this ability.
Lifeup G 13 PP 46 Completely restores the HP of one person. This is quite possibly the best healing PSI power you can get.
Healing A 5 PP N/A Cures a cold, sleep, or sunstroke conditions. You'll be using this a lot in the Dusty Dunes Desert and in Peaceful Rest Valley. Poo starts with this ability.
Healing B 8 PP N/A In addition to the effects of Healing A, this cures poisonings, nausea, feeling strange and uncontrollable crying. VERY useful, you get poisoned a lot. Poo starts with this ability.
Healing G 20 PP 36 In addition to the effects of Healing B, this cures being diamondized and paralysis. It also revives a friend who has become unconscious, though HP is not maxed out. Only use this on dead group members or to cure diamondization, it's a waste on anything else.
Healing O 38 PP 51 In addition to the effects of Healing G, this revives a friend who has become unconscious, and it completely maxes out that person's HP when revived. The cost is too steep to make this useful, as Poo doesn't have all that much PP.
PSI Magnet A 0 PP 21 Grabs 2-8 PP from one enemy and adds it to your own. Good way to recover lost PP.
PSI Magnet O 0 PP 27 Grabs 2-8 PP from all enemies and adds it to your own.
Shield A 6 PP N/A Protects one person with the shield of light. It reduces the damage caused by an enemy's attack by 50%. Using a different shield will cancel these effects. Very useful in the beginning of the game, or against tough bosses. Poo starts with this ability.
Shield S 18 PP N/A Protects everyone with the shield of light. It reduces the damage caused by an enemy's attack by 50%. Using a different shield will cancel these effects. Poo starts with this ability.
Shield B 10 PP 16 Protects one person with the power shield. Cuts damage in half and some of the blocked damage is dealt back to the enemy. Using a different shield will cancel these effects. Cost effective!
Shield O 40 PP 51 Protects everyone with the power shield. Cuts damage in half and some of the blocked damage is dealt back to the enemy. Using a different shield will cancel these effects. 40 PP for a version of Shield B that's put on everyone is way too steep. Avoid this one.
Brainshock A 10 PP 24 Makes one enemy feel strange. It has a very low success rate. Stay away from this one.
Brainshock O 30 PP 44 Makes all enemies feel strange. It only works about 40% better than Brainshock A, and is a big waste of 30 PP better used on Starstorm.
Teleport A 2 PP N/A Allows you to immediately return to a place where you have already been. You need a good running approach for this to work. Poo starts with this ability.
Teleport O 8 PP N/A Allows you to immediately return to a place where you have already been. You don't need a running approach to use this. It's also called the "Tornado Teleport." Poo starts with this ability.
