Among man good things about life at IIT, one which most affects you in my opinion is your wing. Entering IIT in the first year are all kind of people, timid, loud, crazy, shy, sensible etc etc. But by the time they leave the place, spending four years in close groups of around ten to eleven people, makes them all very much similar to each other. I have seen it happening before my eyes, and I am sure anyone who has experienced it won't deny it. I enjoyed my stay in the wing I was in, immensely. It was a long term team building exercise for me where I learnt a lot of things, including a lot about myself.
