How did you start watching All My Children?
"My mom has been watching it since I was born so I have always kept my eye on it. For about a year and a half now I have been watching it religiously- I had seen just one episode and instantly got hooked!"
Are you a longtime viewer or a newcomer?
"Like what I said above- I have always known what was going on but I have only been watching it every single day for about a year and a half."
What do you think are the best and worst things about All My Children?
"Best- the characters are acted out so well by everyone and the storylines are great. Worst- when they leave you with a huge cliff hanger on a Friday!!"
What has been your favorite storyline?
"When Hayley was pretending to be Arlene...it was so intense and you never knew what she was going to do next!"
If you could play one character on AMC, who would you choose?
"Greenlee."
If you lived in Pine Valley, where would you hangout in the most?
"SOS- where I could eat good food and dance!"
Who would have been your best friends, and why?
"On All My Children?-Hayley, Greenlee, and Ryan- because Hayley and Greenlee seem so cool and would be cool friends and Ryan is just so cute and he seems very dependable."
You've been to Kelly's talk show with Regis Philbin, LIVE! With Regis & Kelly. Can you tell me about this experience?
"The first time I went I thought I was so cool because I was actually looking at Kelly. At the end she waved to me and I got her autograph. The second time I went Michael, Lola, and Jill Larson, who plays Opal, were there. I didn't talk to Regis or Kelly but it was still a great experience. The third time that I went was the BEST! My friend and I had made a poster that said "These Jersey Girls Love Pipa" (because Pipa is the nickname Regis calls her) and during the host chat Kelly saw the poster because we were in the front row. During the first commercial break she came over to us and was like "You guys are so cute!" We gave her flowers and talked to her for a little. We got our picture taken with her. She was SOO sweet and soo funny! I am going to LIVE! again for my 4th and 5th times on March 21st and March 28th, so hopefully I will meet Kelly again both those times!"
If you could give any advice to Hayley, what would you tell her?
"I think that Hayley's life is great right now and she is doing very well. I don't think that she really needs any advice at the moment! Just to tell her that she has done a great job staying sober!!"
If you could write Hayley's next storyline, what would happen?
"As horrible as this sounds, even though I love Hayley and Mateo together, I think I would like to see Hayley and Ryan get together for a little. Or I would like to see Hayley and Arlene dook something out! That would make the show very intense!"
Kelly was just nominated for two Emmies - for her work on both All My Children and LIVE. Do you have any congratulations to offer to her?
"She really, really deserves it even though she doesn't think she does! Her acting on All My Children is amazing and she deserves the Best Supporting Actress Emmy! As for LIVE, she also deserves it with Regis. She got the job by being herself and she has helped the shows ratings skyrocket! Her and Regis are a great pair and derserve to win!"
Do you watch other soaps?
"Nope...."
Have you ever lived a real-life soap opera?
"I don't think so..."
How did you think of the idea of opening up The 'Ripa' Effect?
"Well I started making a little page called "Kelly Ripa and All My Children" which I still have now but it isn't as involved as "The 'Ripa' Effect." I love Kelly and I wanted to make an even bigger and better page so I created "The 'Ripa' Effect." I got the name from an article in TV Guide...but since then there have been two other articles called The Ripa Effect. Funny, huh??"
Do you work on the website by yourself, or do you have co-webmasters?
"This website is done ALL by myself!"
How long has the website been open?
"My website was created on September 22, 2001."
What are your your website's best features / sections?
"The rare pictures of Kelly, Kelly and Mark, the children, her friends, and the LIVE pictures from when I went. The mailing list is great because people can find out news about Kelly and about my website. I also change the front page format every once in awhile so it doesn't get boring to people after awhile."
What are your future plans for the website?
"I just want more people to find out about it. I hope that it stays popular for as long as Kelly is around and I hope that I will always still have time for it. I am just going to keep on working hard on it."
Do you have any other websites?
"Yes. I have 'Kelly Ripa and All My Children,' 'Bombastic Britney,' and 'Laura's Page: A Tribute to my friends and my celebs.'"
Is there anything you'd like to tell your visitors?
"That I work soo hard on my website and I love all my visitors and everyone on my mailing list. They help me so much and help me to keep going and working on it everyday. Keep on coming back because there will always be more on "The 'Ripa' Effect!" Thanks so much for your interest in my page!"

"I am SOO happy that I am nominated. There is a bunch of touch competition so I hope that my site will pull through and win. I was ecstatic when I won Soapy Website of the Week and Soapy Website of the Month in December so if I won Soapy Website of the Year I would be so happy because I work so hard on my site....and I think that Kelly deserves it as well!!"
