How  did  you  become  an  actress?
"I became an actress because I went to acting class."

You've  worked  in  theater, television  and  film. What  do  you  prefer?
"I just prefer working in general."

Your  first  job  was  on  the  short-lived  afternoon  soap, Tribes. Can  you  tell  me  about  this  experience?
"Tribes was my first job and it was really fun. I was happy to be working."

Do  you  remember  your  audition  for  Phyllis?
"Yes, I remember my audition for Phyllis. Bill Bell was clicking his pen the entire time. I left feeling like I didn't get the job."

What  has  been  your  favorite  storyline  on  the  soap?
"My favorite storyline on the soap was when I was seducing the shrink. All the stuff with Tim Reid."

What  is  the  funniest  thing  that  ever  happened  to  you  on  the  set?
"Nothing funny really happens on the set. It's pretty calm."

How  was  it  like  working  with  Michael  Demian  and  Lauralee  Bell? Do  you  know  if  either  of  them  is  about  to  come  back?
"Great! They're both awesome humans. Lauralee is already back."

Why  did  you  leave  Y&R  a  few  years  ago?
"I left the show because my contract was up."

What  did  you  do  after  leaving  the  show?
"After I left, I did TV shows & movies."

Can  you  tell  me  about  your  experience  in  working  on  the  film  Double  Jeopardy?
"Working on Double Jeopardy was really fun. We worked in New Orleans and had a great time."

What  made  you  come  back  to  The  Young  and  the  Restless (and  make  your  fans  very  happy)?
"I came back to Y & R because they asked me to come back and it was the right time."

Can  you  tell  me  about  your  funniest  fan  encounter?
"All the fan experiences are great. I don't really have a funniest one."

How  has  portraying  Phyllis  changed  your  life?
"Being on the show in general makes for a good life."

What  was  it  like  to  win  an  Emmy  for  your  work  on  The  Young  and  the  Restless?
"Winning the Emmy was a nice validation."

If  you  could  crossover  with  your  character - even  for  a  guest  appearance - to  any  of  the  other  soaps - to  a  past  or  present  storyline - which  one  would  you  choose, and  why?
"I wouldn't cross over. I dig The Young and the Restless the most."

If  you  could  bring  three  of  your  former  costars  back  to  Genoa  City, who  would  you  choose?
"Aaron Lustig, Aaron Lustig and Aaron Lustig [ex-Dr. Tim Reid]."

Soap  Opera  Digest  named  Phyllis  and  Jack  Best  Couple  of  2001. Were  you  surprised  at  first, to  learn  that  TPTB  are  pairing  these  characters  together?
"No."

How  has  working  with  Peter  Bergman  been  like?
"Awesome!!! I love Peter."

Describe  your  perfect  day  off  of  work.
"Staying in bed all day and reading."

If  you, Michelle, lived  in  Genoa  City  in  real-life, where  would  you  hangout  in  the  most?
"The coffee house because there are a lot of cute boys."

If  The  Young  and  the  Restless  would  write  a  character  in  your  image, how  would  you  describe  it?
"A Y & R character in my image would be free-spirited, brazen, kind and she'd laugh all the time."

What  can  you  tell  me  about  William  J.  Bell  and  Lee  Phillip  Bell, The  Young  and  the  Restless'  creators?
"Bill and Lee are geniuses."
