Background

  • Andrew's real name is Andrew Clutterbuck.
  • grew up in Hull. His dad was a civil engineer, his mum a nurse, his elder brother is a teacher and all are This Life fans.
  • He moved to Bath when he was 12
  • Went to RADA, luvvie!

Television

  • Essential Poems (To Fall In Love With) (2003): Himself
  • Teachers (2001): Simon
  • A Likeness in Stone (2000): Richard Kirschman
  • Bomber (2000): Captain Willy Byrne
  • Narrator for Shipwrecked, a C4 "documentary" about various people stuck on a desert island and what happens to them. Once again Andrew brings his unique delivery to another demanding voice-over...to be honest it's better than The Zoo.
  • Narrator for The Zoo, a BBC documentary about London Zoo which 2 of the tailors may have appeared on. Much as we love Andrew, it sounds as if he recorded this after a night on the tiles!
  • The Woman in White (1997) (TV): Walter Hartright, who Andrew describes as the 'sort of love-interest thingy'
  • Over Here (1996): Cappy. The WWII fighter pilot drama, also starring Blueshirt Sam West!
  • This Life (1996) TV Series: Edgar 'Egg' Cook. Also features his mate and fellow Blueshirt, Jack Davenport Our Review
  • Drop the Dead Donkey (1994): playing Terry in episode: "Births and Deaths"

Roles: Film

  • Offending Angels (2000)
  • Gangster Number 1: Maxie King
  • Human Traffic (1999): Felix
  • Understanding Jane (1998(: Party Stonehead 1
  • Boston Kickout (1996): Ted. Apparently this is like a low-budget Trainspotting set in Stevenage. Mmm, ponder.

"...What ya got cooking?" - Andrew as Egg

Snippets

Andrew admits that he's quite good at making curries. Like Egg, he supports Manchester Utd. In a life-imitating-art moment, Andrew was Best Man at Jack Davenport's marriage to Michelle Gomez. We assume his speech was more upbeat than Egg's at Miles and Francesca's big day!
