It is unfortunate that so little is
known about this woman who would be considered the last ruler of the sixth
dynasty. Had she not been included in the official kings list, her existance
would rest solely on the folk-lore surrounding the murder of her brother,
Antyemsaf II.
Her length of rule varies from 2.5 to 6 years, with the latter
being favored. There are currently no monuments or statues from her reign. She
came to power at a time when the dynasty was on the brink of being overthrown.
As far as we know, she left no heir to inherit after her.
Her name has alternately been spelt as:
Nitokerty, Nitokret &
Neitakret.
