The author is a forty year old civil engineer and an MBA.
Born under the zodiac sign of Leo, he is very much a nature lover and is very fond of playing
chess and basketball. His favorite team in the NBA are the Chigaco Bulls and the Detroit Pistons
because of Michael Jordan and Grant Hill. In the Philippines, his favorite team is the San Miguel
Beermen and is a fan of the team since the inception of the PBA in 1975. As a chess lover, he idolizes Bobby Fischer and Eugene Torre and liked very much their
style of play.
Presently he is connected as a teacher and Dean of the College
of Industrial Technology in a technical school at Iriga City.
He is been connected with this school for the last 14 years
handling subjects such as Mathematics, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Programming and Management.
He was fascinated with computers since 1984, after he was handpicked
to undergo a training in computer programming. Since then he taught
himself about computers and some of the latest application softwares
including the rudiments of HTML, though he is still very raw about it.
The Ceguera Technological Colleges is a tertiary technical-vocational institution in the Bicol Region. It is housed at Iriga City, which is the educational hub in the Rinconada area. The school caters to the tertiary education needs of the low-income and middle-income families in the area it serves. It offers both short term technical and degree courses. It was founded in 1984 out of the desire of its owners to be of help to the less fortunate segment of society, who could no longer afford the rising cost of tertiary education in the Philippines, Bicol in particular.
