Key to timetable:
EWD: Every weekday.
MO: Mondays only.
East: UP direction to Reading.
West: DOWN direction to Westbury.

Note that the 1C84 Reading - Plymouth mail passes Pewsey at 22.25. Several other mail trains run during the night, but records are not available as yet.  All trains are Class 67 hauled.

As a rough guide, the FGW services run roughly xx.20 up and xx.35 down during normal timetable except the Golden Hind. Generally, freight follows in a path behind those times. Engineers’ and ballast workings can run at xx.35 up and xx.45 down during the day.  The emergency timetables have disrupted this pattern since late October.

Additional stone trains are increasingly common with a 14.50 stone empties usually comprising of a Class 37/7 or Class 66 and MEAs. This runs as required.  Class 66 hauled stone from Westbury passes at 14.30, running when required, with new Mendip Rail bogie box wagons.

The Caib owned PGA hoppers in faded ARC livery also make appearances from time to time but actual paths are hard to determine.  For example, a Class 66 passed at 07:40 UP on 18.2.99

NOTE:  I will be adding to the timetables at the next update:  To include the Inverness / Nairn and Westbury areas.  Photographs of what can be seen will be included along with details of how to get to photographic locations.
