Notes: This ship is the second to bear the name Ville de Québec.  The first was a Flower Class corvette commissioned in 1942.  She spent time assigned to the Western Local Escort Force and was paid off in 1945.  In January, 1943 while escorting a convoy off Algeria, Ville de Québec detected an enemy submarine.  After a depth charge attack, U-224 broke the surface and was rammed by the corvette and sunk.
