RAILWAY MISHAP.
Last night a mishap was reported from Carnforth Station. Accounts are conflicting but Morecambe passengers on the 5-35 p.m. train from Whitehaven to Carnforth which arrived about 8-45 p.m., state that their train bumped into an empty stock train at the station. A number of passengers complained of shock, and were examined "by a doctor,' but were all able to proceed home. The Stationmaster at Carnforth stated over the telephone last (Thursday) night that the incident could not be described as an " accident.'' Traffic was delayed for a short time.
