How mean of Warner Brothers to deny the Carnforth Station Trust a potential source of income (Tourism potential of Harry Potter express derailed, December 28). The real shame is that J K Rowling decided to sell the rights to Warner Brothers. Were there not more constructive choices than an enormous American corporation, to whom the notion of giving anything back appears alien? A charitable explanation of her actions could be that the financial consequences of her success have not been thought through, unless one of her objectives has been to concentrate money in a couple of places.
