Second Degree Overview

The Coven of The Good Witch, trains First Degree Celtic Witches in the Craft at Second Degree level. To train at Second Degree level, a student must already have Initiated into the Coven Of The Good Witch, and possess First Degree status. Should a newcomer to the Temple already hold a First Degree equivalent from another Tradition, we request that a bridging course be completed before progressing to Second Degree Training in the Coven Of The Good Witch.

The speed at which students progress will naturally depend upon previous experience. All we ask of newcomers is that they make a firm commitment to complete Series 1 of their Second Degree training, at which point they may make a decision to either continue with their training, or leave as they so choose.

The Coven's Second Degree training is a firm grounding in the intermediate studies of the Celtic Tradition, and involves practical real-life guidance (where possible), as well as thorough grounding in the various aspects of  WitchCraft.

The Second Degree training consists of 3 series of studies, involving the practical as well as the theoretical aspects of WitchCraft. The course involves ritual, spellcasting, meditation, personal wellbeing studies, as well as other traditional aspects of WitchCraft. Our aim is to train well-developed and skilled Priests and Priestesses of the Akashan Tradition of WitchCraft.

After completing the Second Degree training and Initiating as a Second Degree Priest/ess of the coven of the good witch, the student is qualified to start their own Good Witch Of The North Coven, and to teach up to and including First Degree Level. However, Initiations into the Coven Of The Good Witch Of The North must still be performed by a Third Degree High Priest/ess of The Coven Of The Good Witch Of The North.

Courses begin at regular intervals throughout the year, and further information about courses offered is available by contacting The Coven Of The Good Witch Of The North.
