AN/FPS-35 Radar Tower
Although utilitarian in design, the big reinforced concrete tower of the AN/FPS-35
radar contains some surprising aesthetic elements. One example is the manner in
which the exterior surface features a "checkerboard" effect created by
the arrangement of the textured concrete panels.
