AN/FPS-35 Radar Antenna
The lower portion of the radar antenna is illustrated in this
photograph. Note the open end of the wave guide which served to channel both the
electronic pulses generated by the radar's high voltage equipment and the energy
reflected back from an object (such as an approaching aircraft).
