RavenWolf is currently attending her last year at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, studying studio art sculpture, digital art, drawing, painting, and art history. If time permits, she plans to drag her tail back into a darkroom and rediscover the world of photography... but first things first.... chant the mantra: May graduation 1999.... RavenWolf is a believer in the otherworldly (even if you can't see it... it still could be there... kinda like gravity...)and those things that inhabit what most consider the spirit-realm. She is not wiccan strictly, but pulls instead from a variety of spheres including but not limited to both pagan and Native American beliefs. She is a healer by nature, but more towards touch and energy healing than herbalism. RavenWolf is a Reiki & Seichim Practitioner-Teacher and uses the Reiki natural healing method to aide her in her own self healing as well as the healing of others. RavenWolf can usually be found on IRC in #forest after midnight (provided she is not working on ethernet fixes in the Collins Living-Learning Center, working on a term paper in a library somewhere on campus, or raiding the center store for Sobe beverages...) But, window space permitting, she can also be spotted chatting with her friends in #labyrinth and #wicca.
And if you are wandering into the forest, you might stop and spot my mate, a timberwolf named Wolfreak, keeping an eye on you. Careful, he slurps :)

Her packmates in #forest are either friends of wolves or hold the wolf in their soul. Make no mistake, we are not role-players, gamers, or wanna-be's. Those that take up residence in forest are true wolves or friends of wolves. Though we also have our share of the feathered, other furred, or scaled friends. Human friends are welcome and encouraged. Membership in the pack is earned, not self proclaimed. As with all packs, the blood of it is trust, and that can only be earned. The channel works hard to spread the truth about wolves and their brethern and dispell the stories branding them as anything less than a being with its place in the natural order. Many of those that frequent each channel are active volunteers in places such as Mission: Wolf or keep up with organizations such as, but not limited to, the Defenders of Wildlife, W.O.L.F. Rescue and Education, or Friends of the Wolf. |
#Forest is channel devoted to lycanthropy, wereism, and shapeshifting... We often discuss deeply meaningful matters, the state of the world, the essence of the soul, and other such things in between our usual humor and socialization. (My thanks to Grey Orm for his very accurate pre-written description, of which I couldn't write much better). :) #Forest is also a place for those who have newly come to terms with their being something other than human, as well as those who have known for quite some time. The real lycanthropes tend to lie low in today's world. #Forest offers a place for them to meet others like themselves -- some of which have gone through their own gauntlet of trials to be where they are today. |
