october 23rd-25th The DRILLS and resulting lockdowns of Thursday were BOMB DRILLS. They locked down the jail and then ran outside like clucking chickens lookinh for bags hidden round perimeter. ONE STAFF member agreed with my ASSESSMENT that it COULD be Ramsey prep. Who knows. but then it gets curiouser cuz U C on Saterday we couldn't go in the yard for 'rec' cuz there were all these people working on the roof. I could see them from the cafeteria and YES they were ONLY over the parts of the jail where the Ramseys would logically be placed. That is to say, over Discipline, Sman and womans modules. Who knows. I'm just report, OKAY? Call the jail and ASK THEM about bomb drills and roof work. And vice-versa, take the 'impending arrest' connotations to any level you like. Friday's video was "Hope Floats". Saturday's was "Suicide Kings". Ididn't watch either. I never watch them anymore. I'd watch if they had a good Nixon documentary. Now get this. On Saturday Oct 24 on the P.M. kitchen shift I found that I had a little extra cake batter. See. So I did proceed to rumage for a small cake pan. I placed the batter in the pan. Yellow cake. See. So I decided to experiment with this little cake. Oh, I put choc. chips on it, I put cinnamon on it and then baked it. It came out real good. See. So I made a little choc. glaze and a little white glaze. See. I 'drizzled' the white glaze over it and Gloria, the supervisor, said it looked good and that in a bakery they'd call this sort of drizzling "chantilly", but I digress. Okay. When she went to check on a dishwasher problem I did proceed to use a spoon to shovel on the choc. glase over the white. In big sloppy 'punk style' letters I did spell out "PATSY DID IT". I showed it to all 13 or 14 inmate kitchen personel and we proceeded to eat the evidence. I never saw anything in the paperes this weekend about the NEW piece of evidence that was apparently leaked to Carol McKinley of Fox News. I heard her on Peter Boyles late Friday morning say a news clipping was found in R. home that showed JR and other bizmen. The others were X'd out but JR had a HEART drawn round face. Other inmates said they saw it on T.V. I'd like to hear opinions on THAT, AND I'd like to hear them while drinking margaritas and smoking cigarettes. Exactly 8 Months to go. Sunday is my Friday, kitchen work schedule-wise. AND further, I've been waiting for this daylite savings biz. Contributes to a peaceable hybernating mode. Can't wait till it snows. One day soon I'm gonna write you a "word picture" featuring TRIP DEMUETH standing in court saying "THAT'S EASY" on a subject that was a little jarring. One time at Rose Hills I come bashing a corpse on a gurney thru the double doors to the prep room when a punk rocker embalmer tosses a LEG at me. (motorcycle accident). I was 19 and thru it back. And oh the laughs I've had with cops and coroners. TWO FACED BASTARDS. My deathly kodak moments were HARDLY unprecedented. A recent death article in the St.Louis Weekly "Riverfront Times" say, "out comes the scrapbooks" as they describe a mortician showing them photos. On and on, you don't have to like it, but you MUST know it's TRUE and thereby understand my consternation at the giant web of homicide detectives I had around me. Wasn't just Ramsey cops.
