"return to boulder"
december 9th "Lord I was born a travelling man"...so I'm gonna die hard. So there I was waiting for breakfast at Douglas County Jail this morning when I get told to "wrap it up" AGAIN. HEADACHE. But it was a nice Christmasish ride back to Boulder through the snow. Past a busy shopping mall...NO THANKS. Any CLUE into how long I'll stay? HA! You know better than to ENTERTAIN such a question by now. But would you like to hear something hornswagglin gigglin cute? Wouldya like to hear something "embarasking" ( as Popeye would say) to some local powers that be...? I bet you would. And you DON'T have to undulate with me...I'll just GIVE IT TO YOU. Cheif District Judge ROXANNE BAILIN left her chambers, see. So she goes down the "secured" elevator to the basement parking garage, see. And she thinks she's ALONE,see. So she's heading towards her car when she finds an ASSORTMENT of 8 to 10 INMATES sitting around it just shootin the breeze. Get it, there is NO ONE accompanying them, see. They're all alone with a judge in a cavernous garage with MANY nooks and crannies. Needless to say she RAISED HELL. ( Cut back to the jail, my friends, VISUALIZE your Corpsey Lorpsey COMMENTATOR leaning up against the counter in booking as KYLE the transporter takes my leg chains off. Oh yes, I'm seeing Sargeant Nelson talking on the phone and when she hangs up she tells all the other booking officers about the Bailin tantrum. Oh the grinchlike SMILE what did cross my face as I realized I had something new and fresh for YOU for Christmas. AH, but then again, why write of it... she's only the judge presiding over the GJ. I guess it's not "CASE" enough for some people. In other news...Harvey Martin went to prison the other day...AND...a
guard THINKS Vennie Thompson ALSO went to D.O.C. the other day. Then I
told her, "do you know people are writing about him as the Ramsey killer
all over the net?"
I'm still waiting to get to GPOP. I'm in the pod next door as I wait. Nonstop AA meetings and "special" ( whining ) meetings etc. It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas. Last year I was locked down in INTAKE all through December. Twas miserable. I was on page 200 of a Michener book that I had to leave behind this morning. Glad to be back BUT still irritated by the jostling. Nice to be able to SEAL letters again. Babble, babble, babble. current | 1999 | 1998 | colfax diaries |
