Here is some of our cadre watching the world-famous 472nd MP softball team performing some of it's magic. On the lower seat is CPT Petenbrink. The gentlemen behind him are some of our sergeants with SSG Griffith on the side closest to the camera. Griffith had gone through Ranger training and was an excellent man to work for.

This is a view of the aurora borealis, more commonly known as the Northern Lights. Most people don't realize just how colorful they could be. I expended vast amounts of time and film trying to get just one good picture. This is my best, so you can guess what my worst looked like.

Here's another picture of me. I am standing somewhere along the Al-Can highway between Greeley and Wainwright. The vastness of Alaska is somewhat visible in this picture.
