U.S. Navy League
Our Organization
The U.S. Navy League is our national organization, a civilian organization, dedicated to the education of our citizens (including our elected officials) concerning the U.S. military, and to the support of the men and women of the sea services and their families. The Placer County Council is our local division of the Navy League, headquartered in Auburn, California, and active throughout Northern California. We have members from all branches of the military, and members with no military background, all sharing in our various activities. |
Our Good Work
We sponsor the Sacramento Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, and the Navy League Cadet Corps Training Ship California. These fine young men and women (ages 10-18) demonstrate to us the great potential of our future, and we are honored to be able to support them as we do. We also sponsor the Naval Science Reserve Midshipmen of the California Maritime Academy. |
How you can Help
We are an official 401(c)3 tax deductible organization, with funds set aside for our Sea Cadets and Navy League Cadets, our Midshipmen, and for other good works. If you wish to help us provide financial support for these worthy activities, please send your tax deductible contributions to us. If you're in the Northern California area, our Sea Cadets and Navy League Cadets can benefit from training and similar opportunities you might be able to provide. If you can lead a simple one-hour or two-hour class, taught once a year, you can provide very valuable assistance to our Cadets. If you're in our local area, from northern Sacramento through Auburn and all of Placer County, come visit our monthly dinners and join our Council. We are the Number One Council in the Western Region for net membership growth this past year. Come and find out why! | |
Our Membership and Activities
The Placer County Council is one of the more active Councils within the Navy League, with well-attended monthly dinners, frequent excursions, participating in local parades and fairs, and generally enjoying ourselves as we work to support our military and our youth. You can follow these links to view a partial membership list, and for information about our various activities. |
