Florida Weather Monitor
My Florida is the inundated prairie dotted by lonesome cabbage palm hammocks, cypress islands and bayheads with an undulating flock of egrets like galloping white horses in the distance. It is the pine, palmetto and wiregrass woods. It is Spanish moss and hot sultry summer nights giving way to hazy summer days refreshed by warm afternoon showers. My Florida is mild crystal clear winter days and sweet potato pie for Christmas. It is the South. It is the tropics. It is very new and yet very old and heavy laden with tradition and history. It is home!

Florida Cracker Cattle
My mother used to talk about these. I thought she meant some kind of mixed breed wild cattle. Now I know they are a distinct breed.
