Films and anime
Some comment on this section:
Formerly this section was called "Extra", but I have renamed it. It
contained some info on the anime. But now I have added some info about the films of Dai no
daiboken. I received the info about the films from "Le pinguin fourbe" (and I won't translate
this...).
The films
- The first film: "Dragonquest, Dai no daiboken"
Tells in fact the episodes 2 & 3 of the anime, when Leona arrives on Demurin.
The only difference is the apparition of a new enemy. The duration of the film is 30 minutes
and it has been released in 1991.
- The second film: "Tachiagare"
The action is situated between the battle against Freeze and that against Baran.
Fly has to fight Berudosa, a strange guy with serpents on his head (like Medusa in the Greek
legends). The guy even usurpates Aban's identity to achieve his goal! The film was created
in 1992 and lasts 40 minutes.
- The third film: "Buchiabure"
Takes place in the same period as the previous one. This time Fly is opposed to
Garasu and his six henchman :
Zangurei ,a sort of minotaur
Desukaru , sort of ghost
Berugomu who has the appearance of a bird
Daburudora ,a robot
Buregan, a guy similar to Freeze
Menero the only "henchwoman" who uses a wip
This film was made in 1992 and lasts 40 minutes.
The TV-series
The TV-series are based on the first ten volumes of the manga. As they had to end with the
first battle of Fly, the end of the TV-series differs from the story of volume number 10.
This is approximately how the anime ends (as far as I can remember...):
When Baran tries to erase Fly's memory, Fly succeeds to resist, with the "mental
help" of his friends. He attacks Baran again and beats him. But Baran escaped in fact.
The anime then concludes with the same words as in the introductory music: "Dai, pursue
your battle, one day you'll be victorious over Ban!!" Or something like that.

And thanks to "Le pinguin fourbe" for the info about the films.
