When everything seems to be vain, Krokodin appears and saves our friends. He manages to make Fly and Poppu escape with Garuda (Krokodin's giant bird), but he gets seriously wounded himself and Fuam is captured.
Hyunkel keeps Fuam because he's sure that Fly and Poppu will come to save her. Fly and Poppu hide in the forrest of Papunika. They were found by BADAKU a guard of princess Leona who got lost in a battle and didn't find her back since that day. He helps Fly and Poppu to heal their wounds.
The morning after, Poppu acquires a new spell, which he thinks can defeat Hyunkel. Fly is a little bit surprised and reminds Poppu that Hyunkel's armor is able to counter every spell. Poppu explains he just learned RANARION a spell that makes storm clouds to appear. He wants to defeat Hyunkel with RAIDEN an incantation that only heroes can invoke and that makes appear a lightning. Of course the armor of Hyunkel can counter magic, but it is also in metal. If a lightning strikes Hyunkel, it would hit him through his armor. As Fly has not enough power to invoke Raiden alone, Poppu helps him by making storm clouds to come. Combining their incantations they increase their chances to succeed. Fly is very enthusiast and they directly begin to train. Badaku is very impressed by their courage and determination.
The next day they go to the hiding place of Hyunkel. It is a gigantic labyrinth at the bottom of a volcano, in fact the former headquarters of Hadora. Hyunkel was prepared for their arrival and ordered his guards to make Fly and Poppu go to the arena near the volcano. It was an arena where Hadora organized combats. Fortunately for Fly and Poppu the arena is not in the labyrinth but outside so they can use Raiden. Moreover Hyunkel wears his armor from the beginning of the fight. But he refuses to use his sword. Fly tries to force him to take his sword while Poppu is gathering clouds. At the moment that Hyunkel takes his sword, Fly strikes him with Raiden. Hyunkel falls on the ground after that terrible shock.
In the meantime Fuam manages to escape from her prison. In a secret gallery of the fortress, she finds the testament of Brutus, Hyunkel's father, enclosed in a magic shell.
Poppu rejoices because the battle is over, but a bit too fast maybe. Hyunkel stands up and gives him a punch. Fly tries to invoke Raiden again but to late. Hyunkel blocks him with TOMAKAGUSHO. He grabs his sword and gives Fly a finishing stroke. Just after that Fuam appears with the testament of Brutus. She begs Hyunkel to listen to it. Hyunkel accepts and hears the truth about what happened to his father:
When Aban arrived at the doors of Hadora's apartments, he had to fight Brutus because he was the guardian of the door. Aban was to strong for Brutus. But Aban didn't kill him because he noticed a "medal", made of paper by Hyunkel, hanging around Brutus'neck. Brutus told Aban that he had grown up a human child and that when Aban would defeat Hadora, he would immediately turn to dust. He asked Aban to take care of Hyunkel. Aban accepted with pleasure. After that he went on to beat Hadora. Brutus waited and when he finally heard the last screams of Hadora, he thought he would die very soon. But he was still alive. He wondered about what happened and saw Hadora coming out of the doorway. Hadora said he was saved by the magic energy of Ban, the god of darkness. He would construct a greater army with no place for soldiers like Brutus. On this words he kills Brutus and disappears for a long lethargy to recover his own magical powers.
Hyunkel refuses to admit the whole story. The feelings and believings he had were to profound to be changed by this story.
But Fly was not dead after Hyunkel's attack. At the moment of the attack, he was able to avoid the sword to perforate him. Hyunkel fights again against Fly. But Fly lost consciousness and is not completely aware of what he's doing. But he invented a technique that combines his magical powers with his sword techniques: MAHOKEN. Fly is now able to destroy the armor of his enemy. He finishes Hyunkel by combining Raiden with Aban slash in a RAIDEN SLASH. Hyunkel accepts his defeat and he also accepts that he was wrong.
At that moment Freeze appears. He's the general of the army of ice and fire. And he's really well placed to be at the head of this army: his body is made of rocks, the left part is of fire the other is ice. He's a monster created by Hadora with minerals. And his also very jealous of Hyunkel, because, as he says, Hyunkel always tries to take the honnor and merit he deserves. Freeze wakes the sleeping volcano with Merazoma and leaves the scene. Soon the entire arena is submerged by lava. Hyunkel saves our friends by throwing the rock they were standing on to the borders of the arena. He disappears in the boiling magma. Our friends couldn't do anything more to help him. They watched helplessly to the scene.
