Angelique's Poem

Angelique our pride and joy, you fill our  hearts with laughter and happiness. Our sweet little girl growing so fast, oh how we which these moments would last.

We promise not to hold you back, or push you too hard, but we continually pray that we have put you on the right track as you walk away from us exploring your new world.

It's  hard to believe it's been a year since that little infant girl warmed our hearts. Our baby girl is a toddler now, it brings a tear, of sadness, of happiness, of joy, and moments we want to frame.

You won't remember all the things we do for you. But we'll never forget this year we got to know each other. The memories of you smiling when we come home from work.

We'll place them gently on a shelf in our hearts and minds.

We'll take them down from time to time, birthdays, holidays, and when we are sad and blue.

We'll cherish them for years to come and will later share them with you.

As the years go by, and you read this poem, just remember we love you. Often times we look back, to only realize the small things in life we tend to overlook. As you grow older, remember to take a step back and enjoy each moment in life. 

As we continually try to do with you as you turn a year old.  A child as precious as you, one can only realize how special you are, not only to us, but to the lives of others you touch.
