Relax a while......
By Rev. Jodi Davidson and Greg Randall

You know your church is in trouble when the Pastor's dog is the most faithful member to attend.

In nature, plants and animals with bright colors are poisonous. In human society, people who wear bright clothes and make-up are in clown school.

A young woman having car trouble went into her house to ask her sympathetic husband for help. "Honey," she said, "I'm having trouble with the car again."
"Oh, what's wrong with it this time?" he replied.
"The fuel tank is is full of water. Can you go siphon it out for me?" she exclaimed.
"Sure I can. Where is the car?" he asked. "It's in the swimming pool."

After working for thirty years in the fast-food business and being stressed out, I'm ready for the slow-food business. (Ohhhh, my aching feet!)

The Dieter's Prayer: Good bread, good meat. Good Lord, let's eat!! Amen.

I now have Jesus, life insurance and a will, so I am ready to die, and, after that last burrito, it my be today. (Burrrp. Excuse me!)

You knew you had legalistic parents when they made you tithe your Halloween candy.

Condemnation of a new thing never stops it's influence.

A circle of people pointing fingers of blame in the same direction always point back to the first person.

Always do right - this will gratify some and astonish the rest.
**Mark Twain

Those who are young tend to be broad-minded and thin-waisted, but this trend is reversed in middle-age--broad bellied and thin-headed.

God has placed a lot of things on earth to teach us big lessons. "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise."
**Proverbs 6:6

Happiness is good health and a bad memory.
**Ingrid Bergman

Justice is truth in action.

Brad was one of the brightest students in his fourth-grade class, but it was a daily struggle for his teacher to persuade him to do his work. One especially exasperating day, Brad informed her that he already knew enough and didn't need to continue his schooling. "Oh, really?" she said, pretending to be in shock. "And what do you plan to do with only a fourth-grade education?
Brad replied, "Teach third-grade."
NEXT QUESTION?

I don't mind the rat race, but I could do with a little more cheese!

A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"
One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."
OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES AND CHILDREN.

Your life may be a fruitful tree or just a shriveled pod.
The vital difference may well be the quiet time you spend with God.
IT'S UP TO YOU.

Think about this - even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Be of good cheer!

Live so that your friends can defend you, but never have to.

God, grant me the serenity to accept what I can't change,
To change what I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
**Proverbs 18:22
Our Scripture reference this week is: Psalm 22: 25-28(KJV)
My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live forever.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

For the kingdom is the Lord's and he is the governor among the nations.
Ya'll come back now. You hear!

If you are ever visiting in Swainsboro, Georgia, U.S.A, for a while, or just passing through on your way somewhere else, please come be with us for a service or two. We would love to have you!

Swainsboro is located between Macon and Savannah, or about 75 miles southwest of Augusta. The church is located at 211 Lee Street.

Swainsboro is known as "the town where main streets meet," so when you get to the first light whether coming in on Hwy 80 or Hwy 1, there is the traffic light where these two connect. Continue north on Hwy 1 through one more light, then turn left on Church street. At the four way stop (Green street), turn back to your right, go two blocks, turning left onto Lee street.

You'll see our sign (which still reads Swainsboro P.H. Church, by the way). You have finally arrived to be with us. If you want to call ahead, we will have someone out to give you a royal welcome to our Father's house and we will be so glad to have you with us.

Here is a schedule for services:

Sunday Bible Ride 10:00 AM
Sunday Morning Worship 11:00 AM Sunday Evening Worship 6:00 PM
Monday Night Series on "The Screwtape Letters" 7:00 PM
Tuesday Afternoon Ladies Prayer Meeting 2:00 PM
