[263] West Simsbury is now Canton, CT & East Hill area where Hester Higley & Capt. Josiah Case lived is also known as Collinsville, CT It's along the Farmington River. This community was formed after a disagreement with other church members in Simsbury, CT A group removed to West Simsbury and formed a new church. The Rev. Brown (father of John Brown) was the minister. Two of Hesters sisters were grandmothers to John Brown (Hannah & Elizabeth - J. Abrams believe).
