One or two of her children may have m. WHITEs-that might poss. help sometime. Have CHR info from KI Co Somone suggested that Julia was not born in Kingston Parish-Her twins info seems to indicate that she was-in addition to death certificate. Found her cemetery stone in Pierce Cemetery in Mars Hill. (also

If you find any reference to Joseph MOOR/E before April 1825 when he supposedly entered CAN, please let me know. The death certificate for my gr grandmother Abigail Franklin reads as St. Almard Maine. He was born @ 1802/3 Maine not a state until 1820. Have searched and changed letters; certainly picked up lots history on the way but can not find a good connection.

This is my husbands side of the family. We have a birthdate for William as
6/14/1872 and he died in 1948. He doesn't have much to work with cuz all the
older Grass family members have passed. We are kind of stuck where we are.
My husband was born in 1946 so as you can see he wasn't very old when his
great-grandfather passed. He thinks his ggf's dads name was Rueben. Wish I

Southern Maine Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born in West Pembroke, a daughter of Willbert and Hazel Gallison
Kelly, and attended Portland schools.
Mrs. Gerrish was employed by Corning Co. Star, Kennebunk, for 10 years.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a son, Eric Gerrish of Biddeford; a brother, Earl Grass of
Lambert Lake; three sisters, Muriel Philips of Hookstown, Pa., and Cynthia
O'dell and Alice Grass, both of Lambert Lake; and a grandchild.
There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Friday in
Brooklawn Memorial Park, South Portland, at a time to be announced.
Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.

LINCOLN - Gladys Lillian (Grass) Carlow, 90, wife of the late Lester P. Carlow, died May 9, 1992, in Lincoln. She was born in Wassua, New Brunswick, June 16, 1901, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Grass) Grass. Mrs. Carlow was a homemaker who had five sons who served in World War II. She was well-known for her cooking abilities. For 20 years, she made her home with her granddaughter and her husband, Judith and Durwood Wilson; and for the past six years she lived with Cynthia and Gerald Millett. She was a member of the Lincoln Medthodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Madeleine Lowell White of Queensbury, N.Y., Cynthia Millett of Lincoln and Gladys Leone Elliott of Chipman, New Brunswick; 10 sons, Lawrence of Brooksville, Fla., Vinal of Tolland, Conn., Richard of Portland, Leonard of Ellinton, Conn., Robert of Caribou, Alvin, Clifton, Roger, Lester D., and Linwood, all of Lincoln; one sister, Grace Knights of Brookton; four brothers, Leonard Grass, George Grass, Samuel Grass all of Brookton, and Guilford Grass of Raymond; 40 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchindren, 29 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. hospital. He was born May 11, 1914, in Presque Isle, the son of Eldon and
Grace (Stairs) Grass. Donald was a retired potato farmer and lived most of
his life in Robinson and Mars Hill. Among his favorite activities were
hunting and fishing. He is survived by three daughters and their husbands,
Mavis and Dean Burtchell of Mars Hill, Carolyn and Thomas Norsworthy of
Presque Isle, Beverly and Vernon DeLong; four sisters, Edith Shaw, Velma
MacDonald, Euda Bragdon, and Cora Brown; eight grandchildren, nine
great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
wife of 51 years, Bessie (Bragdon) Grass; a son, Bryant Grass; and a

MARS HILL - Clarence R. Grass, 87, died on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000, at a Mars Hill health-care center, after a brief illness. He was born in Mars Hill, Nov. 7, 1912, the son of Eldridge and Zipporah Grass. He graduated from ACI in 1930. He was employed by E.A. Welch Farm Machinery Co. and also was self-employed in the farm equipment business for many years. He retired from civil service at Loring Air Force Base in 1978 after 22 years. He was a member of the United Baptist Church and attended East Ridge Union Church in Mars Hill. He was a former Rotarian and was active in community affairs. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Blanche (Lawrence) Grass; two daughters, Veneita & Joe Shaw of Mars Hill, and Cathy & Ronald Fitzgerald of Presque Isle; two sons, Nathan and wife, Jeannie of Presque Isle Robin and wife, Yvonne of Caribou; eight grandchildren, Connie & Jan Durost , Cindy & William Brader, Nicole & Scott Shields , Kristina Fitzgerald, Michael Grass and wife Lori, Steven Grass, Aaron Grass and wife, Barbara, Stephanie & Douglas Plourde; 14 great-grandchildren, Shane and Craig, Robert and Jenna, Bradley and Nicolas, Jessica, Sabrina and Heather, Jacob, Tanner and Jordan, Katy and Ethan; two sisters, Hope Field and husband Herald, and Crystal Sprague; two brothers, Clifford Grass and wife Maida and Ralph Grass. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Roberta; father and mother; and sister, Jean Berardinelli. Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at East Ridge Union Church, Mars Hill, with Pastor Steven Perry officiating. Burial will be in Kings Grove Cemetery.
