died Tuesday night in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.

She leaves her husband, Earl Madsen; a son, Richard E. Madsen of Northboro;

four daughters, Carol J. Madsen Gerber of Somerville, Bonnie E. Reynolds of

Wheelwright, Theresa M. Wassell of Sutton, and Patricia L. Madsen Moforte of

Santiago, Chile; two brothers, Paul Goodine of Calais, Maine, and Allen

Goodine of Ruston, La.; five sisters, Vivian Cunningham of North Grafton,

Roberta Bendonis of Millbury, Jean Palmer of St. Andrews, New Brunswick,

Canada, Margaret Cataldo of Millbury and Pauline Pearce of Fayetteville,

N.C.; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. She

was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Dual and

Elizabeth (Grass) Goodine and lived in Barre and Worcester before moving

here 47 years ago.

Mrs. Madsen and her husband, of 51 years, owned and operated Reliable Oil

Co., where she worked for 35 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of

St. Brigid's Church.

The funeral will be held Saturday from Mulhane Home For Funerals, 45 Main

St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St. Burial will

be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
