"...a short period of time." (Page 6)

After the prayer meeting, I shared what I had seen with the other women in the prayer group. We rejoiced in what I had seen because we thought the vision meant that the churches (and the signs) all painted over white was "the glory of God" and that this meant the churches were all going to become one in the glory of God. (Logically, this seemed the best explanation of what I had seen. I did not think to ask the Lord what the vision meant.)

I continued to go to the church each day to pray but after a short while (more and more often) it seemed I was being hindered from praying in the church. Because it was a very small ministry, their leadership meetings, choir practice etc. were conducted in the main sanctuary of the church. When these activities were not in progress, the sanctuary was being cleaned... THEN came a seemingly endless remodeling process etc. Eventually I was forced to abandon the main sanctuary and so I tried instead to pray in the room used for the children's ministry. However that room was also needed for church activities: to sort clothing to take to Mexico, to hold youth club meetings and church socials, for drama rehearsals etc. So I moved to the (only) classroom but it too was needed for church functions. On several occasions when I tried to use the classroom to pray, I was politely asked to leave so that the room could be used -to conduct some classes on intercessory prayer.

Since it was the Lord who had instructed me to pray at the church and since I did seek His guidance as to the time I should go to pray, I was puzzled when I began to find little available space to do so. Finally I asked the Lord: Lord, Where can I pray? Is there a place in your house to pray? He said: Now you are beginning to see... But it was not until years later, when the same scenario repeated itself in two other churches that I began to realize it was not just a coincidence: I began to understand (it was His way of demonstrating to me) that even though His House is called a house of prayer, there is very little time set aside for or devoted to prayer. Prayer is not a priority in the churches nor has it been given its proper place in the lives/spiritual houses of His people.

Eventually I did find a storage closet at that little Full Gospel ministry and by moving some boxes of old clothing and rags aside, I cleared just enough space to kneel down to pray. While I was in that closet one day (as the Pastor and his wife were in an adjacent room -sorting clothing to take to Mexico) the Lord showed me a gigantic angel standing over the world. The angel stood with his feet apart -with one foot on either side of the earth. In his hands was a huge sword -raised high above his head: the sword was about to come swiftly down upon the land.

I was so amazed at what I was seeing, I exclaimed: Wow Lord! What is that? He answered: "The sword coming upon the land." Not knowing what that meant I ignorantly responded: "That's nice Lord, what does it mean? He said: "Judgment." Not knowing what judgment meant I asked: "Judgment?" He said: "Yes, judgment to my people." To your people? I asked. He said: "Yes, to MY people." Then He said: "Not to destroy, (not) like... (I was given the impression of smashing an ant in the palm of the hand by using the thumb of the other hand in a twisting action to obliterate the ant) "...but like... (I was given the impression of holding an ant in the palm of the hand: a hand was being used to gently block the ant's path (to turn its' direction) -as if trying to stop the ant from running out of the hand) "...to lovingly turn and redirect them". With a sigh of relief I said: "That's good." When I asked why He showed this to me, He said: "Go, tell the Pastor and his wife what you have just seen and heard".
