"...a short period of time."

I left the prayer closet and immediately went into the next room to do as I had been instructed. Ignorant of the meaning of what I had just seen and heard I calmly and matter-of-factly told the Pastor and his wife about the angel with the sword and repeated what the Lord had said. I believed -since they were God's leadership, they would certainly know what He meant (and why) even though I did not. (I went home wondering what it all meant.)

Very early on, the Lord made me aware that the things He had shown me when I was ten, concerned the whole earth. He was very specific: the vision of the seven churches meant ALL churches -irrespective of denomination. The "judgment to His people" applied to all His people. What the Lord was revealing did not apply exclusively to this Pastor and his wife or just one neighborhood church.

In 1985-66 the Lord sent me (four or five times privately) to tell the Pastor and his wife that the Lord wanted the churches to fast, pray and repent. The Lord also had me tell the Pastor that there would be: (1) a drought and (2) a great shaking.

Three years later, as I drove down the Hollywood Freeway heading toward the junction at Interstate 5 I heard the Spirit of the Lord remind me to acknowledge Him in all of my ways. Since the traffic tends to bottle-neck at that junction (when reminded to acknowledge Him in ALL of my ways) I took it quite literally and thought to myself: How practical the Lord is! Assuming the Lord was going to let me know if it would be better to continue on the freeway or take an alternate route via the next freeway exit, I asked Him if I should stay on the freeway or take the up coming exit. To my surprise He led me to use the exit.

Since I was not familiar with the surface streets in that area, I ended up driving around in a circle. Then I got caught in another traffic jam on the surface streets. By this time I was frustrated and I began to complain to the Lord: Why did you lead me off the freeway ...so I could sit here in this mess? Suddenly mindful to Whom I was speaking, I said: "Lord forgive me. It is your sovereign right to lead me where ever you want for what ever reason, even if I do not understand why".

Having amended my attitude, I tried to wait patiently: the traffic cleared but then the signal turned red. As I waited at the light, the Lord directed me to look over to my left. There -at close range I saw a building that (-having viewed it only from a distance while passing by on the freeway) I had always thought (-because of the style of the roof) that it was an oriental restaurant. For the first time I realized that it was a Buddhist temple. Often as I had driven past the area on the freeway, my attention had been drawn to that building. I had even asked the Lord if it was a good restaurant and should I eat there! (His response was a resounding NO.) I was now so surprised to learn it was a Buddhist temple that I said: "Oh my God, Lord! That's not a restaurant, it's a Buddhist temple!" He said: "Yes it is...now look across the street." When I did so, I saw a Christian church (Baptist.) My immediate reaction was to say: "O Lord, they (referring to the Christian church) must love all that idolatry (Buddhism) across the street." His response was: "They are teaching the same thing". I immediately said: "Not so Lord, they do not teach Christianity in a Buddhist temple." To which He responded: "That's right, they don't." I replied: "Then that means you are telling me that they are teaching Hinduism in the Christian church?" "That's right, He said: they are..." (I knew nothing about Hinduism or Buddhism and so I wondered what He meant).
