"...a short period of time."

Four years ago last January, I was driving home from prayer at church: As I sat waiting at a red traffic signal, I heard the Lord say: "Go, Go now." I looked up at the red light and said: "Lord, I cannot go the light is red." Then He said: "I have anointed you, Go. Go now." (Thinking He meant that He was refreshing me) I simply thanked the Lord for His anointing and then reiterated that I could not go because the light was red. A third time, the Lord said: Go, Go now. I could not imagine that the Lord would have me violate the law and so this time I responded by saying: "I cannot go the light is red and I will not disobey the law of the land".

For the next few weeks I was constantly confronted (in a spiritual sense) with a verse of scripture found in the Book of Ezekiel (KJV chapter 33) in which it is written concerning the warning to the watchman: If the watchman sees the sword come upon the land and does not warn the people: "But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity: but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand." (KJV Ezek..33:6) I became distressed by this because I knew in my heart that this was not just something I was reading to "reflect upon" but that the Lord was in fact warning me that He was going to hold me accountable for not warning the people. I asked the Lord what I was shown or told that I had failed to warn anyone about. I asked the Lord to extend His mercy to me (and reminded Him of how dense I am.) I told the Lord that if He was trying to tell me something, I was sorry but I missed it. I asked Him to make it so obvious that a blind man couldn't miss it.

The next morning while my husband was dressing for work he said: "I had the strangest dream last night." Right away, the Holy Spirit quickened me and said: It was not strange I gave it to him, -ask him about the dream. Then without telling my husband what the Lord said, I asked him to tell me about the dream. He described the dream as follows: We (my husband and I) are traveling in the car. (He said that in the dream, I am driving the car.) We come to a stop light. While you are sitting stopped at the light, I look behind us and I see a HUGE tornado coming. This whirlwind is the biggest thing you have seen in your whole life -it is consuming every thing in it's path. Even though I see the whirlwind coming, you don't....I try to tell you. "I tell you GO, GO NOW but you will not go because the light is red. I try to make you understand that you can out run this thing if you hurry but you are really going to have to punch it! I tell you again: Go, Go now. Three times I tell you to go and go now but all you will say to me is: I cannot go the light is red. The third time, you say to me: I cannot go the light is red and I will not disobey the law of the land." When I asked him if (in his dream) I ever went. He said: "Yes, but at first you would only do the speed limit".

If this letter this seems froward, please forgive me. (The time is short.) Now that it has pleased the Lord to give me understanding concerning these things. I realize I cannot afford to be caught doing just the "speed limit". I now know it is right to disobey the "law of the land." The red signal light represents the attitude of the leadership of the churches (to whom I have been sent.) Because the Lord sent me to say things that were not "well received" by church leadership, I was accused of challenging their God-given authority -saying that God wanted the churches to REPENT and that judgment was imminent was somehow considered my own personal indictment against them. My supposed "challenge of their authority" was translated by them as "touching God's anointed" and "coming against God's anointed" leadership.
