Jul 23-1 Aug Monday - Wednesday
    Boy Scout National Jamboree, Fort A.P. Hill, VA., 9:00 AM.

Aug 6  Monday
    Meeting at the Scout hut at 7:00 PM.
    Preparation for the bicycle rodeo at Super Day: Bike inspections and reviewing traffic safety rules.

Aug 13 Monday
    Meeting at the Scout hut at 7:00 PM.

Aug 17 Friday
    Bicycle Rodeo at Super Day: Bicycle inspections, Bike rodeo, and a Boy Scout Recruitment table.
    Behind the Chapel across from Post Office 9:00 AM – NOON.

Aug 20 Monday
    Meeting at the Scout hut at 7:00 PM.
    Working on advancement, concentrating on compass and map reading skills, menu planning, first aid, and swimming skills for the ranks of         Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class ranks. Preparation for the Saturday swim at the concrete pool and the over-nighter at the Scout Hut.

Aug 21 Tuesday
    2000 Chesapeake Bay Fall Program Leader Kick Off
    St. Luke’s United Methodist Church
    300 Ella Taylor Road, Yorktown, VA.
    7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
    All Troop 45 adults are encouraged to attend.
    Activities include: Scout Roundtable Presentations, Training Dates, 2000-2001 Council Calendar, Fall Round-up materials, Popcorn materials, Fall Camporee information, door prizes and more!

Aug 24-26 Friday - Sunday
    Order of the Arrow-Summer Ordeal
    Camp Chickahominy

Aug 25 Saturday
    Concrete Pool behind the Fort Eustis Club 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    Over-nighter at the Scout Hut 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM on Sunday
    Cost: $3.00 for swimming, $5.00 for food on over-nighter.
    Invite a friend that is of Boy Scout age and interested in joining. Activities will include rank advancement, menu planning, first aid, compass course and map reading, merit badges, and fun stuff!

Aug 27 Monday
    Meeting at the Scout hut at 7:00 PM.
    Review of the skills that were learned for advancement, compass and map reading, menu planning, first aid, and swimming. Overview of September, theme for the month is camping basics, Leave No Trace camping, Fall Camporee preparation and Den Chief recruitment.

Aug 29 Wednesday
    Reservoir Open House 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
    Reservoir Middle School
    Boy Scout recruitment will take place there, so Scouts need to wear their Class A uniform and service hours are awarded to all participating Scouts. All Scouts that help recruit a boy into Boy Scouts will earn a recruiters patch.
