Beginner Maori

Beginner Maori starts at approximately the form 2 level.  I say this because that's when I started learning Maori. It starts off with very basic vocabulary and numbers with no sentencing structures until a bit further down. I was going to offer hyperlinks so you could just click and learn as you will but your stuck until I can learn how to do a link to a specific location in the current document.  So ill just set it out in paragraphs.

Maori
Alphabet:
Vowels:  A   E   I   O   U
Consonants:  H   K   M   N   P   R   T   W   NG   WH

Pronunciation: most of the consonants stay the same but the letters below sound different.
A-like the 'ar' sound in the word car.         E-like the 'e' sound in the word peck.         I-said like the English letter 'e'.     O-like the 'or' sound in the word port.         U-like the 'oo' sound in the word soon.         NG-like the 'ng' in bang.         WH-pronunciation varies, but mostly the same as 'f ' in fire.         R-the tip of your tong flaps on the top of your mouth.
