A crisp, but gorgeous christmas card setting on 12 December 1981 saw Eastern Counties flat-screened Bristol RE, RL 667 (PPW 667F) working the short local service between Ipswich and Claydon.

Huddled together for warmth in the Old Cattle Market bus station in Ipswich in January 1981 were Eastern Counties VR 191 (TEX 401R), VR 332 (NAG 587G) and LH 919 (TCL 139R). The middle of the trio, VR 332, came to EC as part of the 1973 Lodekka / VR exchange between NBC and SBG.
