    During the March holidays, the Sec 4 students of Presbyterian High went on an educational visit to Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. Led by Geography teachers Miss Kang, Mrs Oh, Mr Ramesh and their spouses, we left Singapore eager to learn more about Geography in Vietnam and to experience its many cultures. There, we got to see for real huge granite boulders, rivers, a waterfall, lava caves and much more. One of the most memorable was our climb up Volcano 117, as its name reveals, is located 117 km away from the city centre. It was a tiring climb indeed up the steep slopes of the volcano. The loose soil that occasionally gave way and crumbled under our feet made the process even more tideous. However, our efforts paid of when we reached the top. The view of the huge crater was magnificant and so was the surrounding panaromic view. The visit to the primary school was another hit.The children were friendly and warm, and very obliging, always keen to take photographs with us. Although not excatly new and full of facilities, the school was some what cosy in a sense, with friendly and hardworking teachers and "eager to learn" students. Throughout our visit, we saw and learnt much about the once communist country. We hope to share what we have learnt and enjoyed in Vietnam through this site.
