THE ITALIAN WATERMAN My name’s Maurizio, I was born in 1961, February, and I live in Formia a town on the sea. I have always considered water like a only friendly element, when I was sixteen I became a good swimmer, I swam 100 metres (free style) in 56.4 seconds in a short swimming pool, winning some regional competitions. |

I like all the activities which are referred to the sea, skin-diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, and since 1980 surfing. I discovered that also in Italy it was possible to surfing, when there are particular situation of the weather, some beachs permit that waves of good quality are created. Autumn and winter are the seasons rich of waves but sometimes also in spring and summer we could have good conditions. |

This sport involved me very much that I changed my life radically.
