What a night RAW IS WAR from Syracuse, New
York promised to be! Vince McMahon guaranteed a
NEW Stone Cold, D-Generation X was in the house,
and the Undertaker was set to respond to Paul
Bearer's challenge!

Vince McMahon opened the broadcast by promising a
new, corporate Stone Cold Steve Austin...or your
money back! The owner of the World Wrestling
Federation appeared to deliver when the champion
joined him during the WAR ZONE wearing a suit and
tie! After a few moments of pretending that he had
given in to his 'boss,' the Texas Rattlesnake slammed
him with a low blow and promised he'll never change!

D-Generation X was in full force in Syracuse and for the
first time since forming their army, they went to battle.
Hunter 'triple dog dared' X-Pac and the New Age
Outlaws to 'take a whiz on the DOA's bikes' and they
welcomed the challenge! Chainz, Skull and 8-Ball
looked for retribution in a 6 man tag match, but were
unable to get it when Triple H hit Chainz with the
Pedigree for the victory. After the bell DX attacked
DOA with steel chairs. They had Chainz tied to the
ropes, when LOD 2000 came out to help the
outnumbered bikers.

Accepting the challenge from his brother and Paul
Bearer, the Undertaker promised Kane that he would
burn in hell at Unforgiven! The portly mortician and the
seven-foot monster appeared via satellite from the
gravesite of Taker and Kane's deceased parents.
Proving that there is nothing they will not do in the name
of revenge on the Lord of Darkness, the evil duo
desecrated the grave and lit it on fire!

Making his World Wrestling Federation debut, Dan
"The Beast" Severn defeated Flash Funk with an
arm-bar submission. The former Ultimate Fighting
Champion looked very impressive in his first ever
match in the "big time."

Earlier in the day, The Rock ordered an attack on
Faarooq outside the OnCenter. Along with D'Lo,
Kama and Mark Henry, the Ruler of the Nation
pummeled the fallen leader. In the ring, The Rock put
his Intercontinental Title on the line against Owen Hart.
Looking to replay last year, when he defeated Maivia
for the same title, Owen locked his opponent in the
Sharpshooter and seemed ready to once again claim
the gold, but Chyna ran in and slammed him across the
back with a baseball bat, forcing a disqualification.

Ken Shamrock was in firm control of his match-up with
Marvelous Marc Mero, when The Rock led the Nation
of Domination on an attack in the ring. Not wanting to
fall victim again, Shamrock defended himself with a
chair but in the end not even the World's Most
Dangerous Man could fend off a four-on-one attack.

With and assist from the Artist Formerly Known as
Goldust, Luna earned a victory over a man in the first
ever Inter-Gender match in the Federation!

Forcing "Too Sexy" to submit in the Guillotine Steve
Blackman earned the victory over Brain Christopher.
Following the bell, Double J came in and cracked a
guitar over the martial expert's head!
