Dominik's style of goaltending, if you can consider it a style, is unlike that of any goal tender in the NHL. He flops and uses strange mannerisms, anything goes to stop the puck. One of the strangest habits he has is throwing his goalie stick. He's been known to just toss the stick in tense situations. This is very odd because the stick is the goalie's center of gravity. Most goalies are lost without their stick. For whatever reason, Dominik isn't. What he does after tossing teh stick, is he guards his goal posts and taps them.
His preparation for a game is second to none. I wonder if he hears anything when he's playing, he concentrates so hard. He seems to see the puck slower then most goalies. He's also extremely competitive. He keeps score during warm-ups and practices, and even tells his teammates to shoot the puck at his head so he can practice stopping them with his head!
Personal: Dom is married (to Alena) and has two children, Michal (9) and Dominika. (4).
