The following is an interview that Ed Coutu (of 3sixteen.com fame) did with the Black Hart on April 10, 1998.
I conducted this interview with Owen about 5 minutes ago:
Q.When the Hart Foundation left the WWF, why did you stay?
A. it was the best decision for my career at the time, it was a tough decision, but it was made by myself having recently signed a multi year deal with titan, and i think it will better my career.
Q.What is your take on the Vince McMahon/Bret Hart controversy?
A. I've answered so many questions about that, all i can say is, this is the business that we have chosen, and sometimes things like this happen.
Q.Davey "Boy" Smith and Jim Neidhart seem to be lost in the shuffle in WCW, and even Bret Hart, to some extent, is very unactive, what do you think the reason for this is?
A. The wcw has always had trouble booking good angles and matches for top talent. its no surprise that top talent like bret, daveey and jimmy get lost in the shadow of the nwo and basically eric bischoff not really having a good grip on what to do with great wrestlers, besides putting them in the ring with hogan.
Q.After what happened between Vince McMahon and your brother Bret, how do you feel about Vince, and Shawn Michaels?
A. With vince there will always be respect it was in titan that i became a star, its where bret, davey and jimmy became stars, i cant help but to feel at home in the wwf, but vince did something that i may forgive, but never forget. Shawn is an amazing talent, and the troubles between shawn and bret were well documented and im not going to say they were best friends, but most of the problems were blown way out of proportion.

A. Well you know what i think about vince bischoff and Shawn and telling anyone how i feel about my brother and my family is kind of silly, so ill start with the nwo, its was a great angle but its way played out from what ive heard, dx they draw an awful lot of heat and as long as that keeps up you will have dx.
Q.When your WWF contract runs out, do you plan on re-signing with TITAN?
Q.What should we expect in the near, and distant future for Owen Hart.
A.My future is just that its my future, and
right now my future is with the wwf beyond that, i cant really say.
