Part one
Linzi
woke to the sound of thunderous knocking on hotel room door. Shrugging into a
robe she stumbled to the door promising herself she would kill whoever it was.
It had been quite a party to celebrate their victory against the Wolfpac. Jade
bounced into the room.
"Aren't
you up yet?" she asked. Linzi peered at her clock.
"Jade,
it's 7:30am. What the hell are you doing up," Linzi grumbled, "And why are you
so damn cheerful. I feel awful."
"I
don't feel awful because I wasn't the one who challenged the cruiser-weights to
a tequila drinking conquest." laughed Jade. Linzi groaned.
"Why
didn't Mel stop me. In fact why haven't you woke her!"
"She'd
already left by that time, with David!" Jade informed her.
"Really," said Linzi, interested
despite her hang-over, "Why didn't I notice that?"
"Probably because you were at the
bar seeing who could drink a full pint of lager the fastest." said Jade
gleefully. She pulled the covers back off Linzi. "Come on, we've got plotting to
do. Get showered and dressed." A few minutes after Linzi peered round the
bathroom door.
"Anyway," she said indignantly,
"How did you know I wouldn't have company?"
"Most
of them had passed out before you finished drinking!"
Mel
joined them at breakfast.
"Sleep
well?" asked Jade.
"Sleep
at all?" quipped Linzi, raising an eyebrow. Mel smiled and blushed.
"No
quote!" she replied.
Later
at the next hotel the girls were in Jade's room for a meeting.
"I
think we should go for a belt."
"Yeah,"
agreed Mel, "Which one?"
"Cruiser weight of course!"
"Okay,"
agreed Linzi, "I'll distract him, you nick the belt." she smiled dreamily. Jade
clouted her.
"I
meant by wrestling him!" Linzi pouted.
"I
think my way is better."
"Wait
til you hear my plan." smiled Jade. She quickly outlined it. Mel and Linzi sat
back smiling.
"That's
great." said Mel. Linzi looked thoughtful.
