Gold
Part five
TS:
Ladies and gentlemen, tonight on Nitro we have The Girls challenging Chavo and
Kidman, the current holders, for the tag-team belts.
MT: We
have been hearing rumors of a split within The Girls.
TS:
That's right, Mike. Apparently Linzi's actions over recent weeks have angered
Jade.
BH: But
she's in love!
TS:
Jade doesn't see it that way, Bobby and I agree with her. Teams should stick
together.
MT:
You're right Tony, but teams have broken up for a lot less.
MG:
Ladies and Gentlemen it's time for WCW Monday night Nitro main event. Tonight a
challenge for the tag-team belts. Are you ready. Seattle, Washington are you
ready? For the thousands in attendance and the millions watching around the
world. LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!
Coming
to the ring are a trio of young ladies that have taken the wrestling world by
storm. Weighing in at a combined weight of 'we're not telling you' are Jade, Mel
and Linzi. The Girls.
Coming
to the ring now are the current WCW tag-team belt holders, Kidman and Chavo
Guerreo Jr.
TS: And
Micky Jay has signalled for the bell. First two in are Mel and Kidman.
MT: And
the action is fast and furious. Mel is doing a good job of keeping Kidman
grounded. She's tagged in Jade. And that was a magnificent suplex from Jade. You
can see her anger in her moves.
TS:
Kidman doesn't know what's hit him.
BH:
Jade did.
TS:
It's a figure of speech, Brain. Mel's back in the ring. Kidman is up on
top.
MT: And
Linzi hasn't pushed him off as she usually does with The Girls opponents.
TS:
Jade is furious. She's pushed Linzi off the apron.
MT:
Kidman has finally tagged in Chavo.
TS:
Linzi has walked round the ring and is talking to Kidman.
MT: Mel
is pummeling Chavo and Kidman seems to have forgotten that he's in the middle of
a wrestling match.
TS:
Linzi's moving away. She's distracting the ref. Both Mel and Jade are in the
ring double-teaming Chavo. And something seems wrong with Kidman.
MT: I
think Linzi has handcuffed him to the guard-rail, Tony.
TS: Oh
my goodness, she has. Kidman is totally helpless as Mel rolls up a dazed Chavo
for the pin and she gets the three count.
MT: We
have new tag-team champions, The Girls.
TS: All
three of them are celebrating in the ring. It appears that the events over the
past weeks were just a cunning plan to win the belts.
MT:
Linzi has tossed the key to Kidman.
TS: And
from the look on his face she'd better leave before he frees himself. Well there
you have it folks. Your new tag-team champions-The Girls.
Later
in the dressing room, Jade, Mel and Linzi were celebrating when the door burst
open. Kidman stormed in, shaking with rage. His face was furious and his fists
were clenched by his side. Rey, Chavo and Juvi hovered nervously behind
him.
"You
conniving bitch," he shouted at Linzi, "Don't you ever come near me again." He
stormed out of the room followed by Rey. Jade was first to speak.
"I
didn't think he'd take losing that badly." she said.
"It's
not losing that's upset him," said Chavo, "It's, well, it's really difficult to
explain."
"Even I
don't understand it." added Juvi.
"What
is really difficult to explain?" asked Jade.
"Well,
you see, it's like this, ermm..." stuttered Chavo.
"Kidman
really likes Linzi." interjected Juvi.
"Yes,"
agreed Chavo, "And what with the other night and all that he thought he was in
with a chance."
"And
now he's found out it's all part of a plan to win the belts. He's absolutely
gutted." finished Juvi.
"Well
it is part of the plan sort of." said Jade.
"Yeah,
but we haven't come to the part were Linzi apologies nicely and they get
together." said Mel. They all looked at Linzi, whose normally pale face had gone
deathly white.
"I..I
didn't realise," she whispered, "I had no idea he felt the same way."
"The
same way!" exclaimed Juvi and Chavo together. Linzi got unsteadily to her
feet.
"I've
got to find him and explain."
Kidman
was sitting on a packing case with Rey trying to console him.
"Think
of it this way," said Rey, "They probably did all that to you and not Chavo for
a reason." Kidman put his hand on Rey's shoulder.
"Thanks
mate, but I really want to be alone at the moment." Rey nodded and left. Kidman
didn't look up as he heard Linzi's footsteps approaching. He hopped off the case
and started to walk off.
"Kidman, wait!" she said. He
continued walking. Linzi ran in front of him, grabbing his arms, trying to stop
him.
"Please
listen to me. I'm so sorry. I had no idea. Please stop and let me explain."
Kidman stared straight ahead, not wanting to look down, knowing from her voice
that she was crying. He could smell her scent, sharply reminding him of the
other night when she had been in his arms. He shook his head, dispelling the
image. Linzi was still pleading with him.
"Please
stop and listen to me. I never meant to hurt you. We didn't know you felt like
that, but," they'd reached the outside, "But I didn't want to kiss Chavo."
Kidman got into his car, still in his ring gear. "I wanted to kiss you." she
whispered sadly as he screeched out of the parking lot. Mel and Jade found her
sitting there moments later, crying piteously. They crouched beside her, hugging
her.
"Damn,"
said Juvi. "Kidman was supposed to be giving me a lift. All my stuff's in his
car."
