A New Start
Part four
Mel laid in her hotel room
bed that night, thinking. All she could think about was those big blue eyes. She
felt bad for snapping at him. Wasn't his fault Jericho was a big Jabronie. She
sighed. Great. Now she was starting to think like the Rock. Grrrr.. She couldn't
sleep. With a sigh. She got up and threw her jeans and t-shirt on. Shoving on a
pair of running shoes, she slipped out the door. She headed down stairs. Maybe
she just shoot a little pool. She walked to the game room and went inside. Ahh.
Nice and quiet. She grabbed a pool stick and put the balls on the table. She
started shooting. Soon, she was aware of someone watching her. She slowly stood
up. Then, aiming the pool cue as a spear, she whirled around, preparing to hurl
it. "Hey!," the figure fell to the ground, covering its head. She ran to it and
tackled it. "OW! STOP!," Mel suddenly recognized the voice. "David?," He looked
up. "Uh, hey Mel. Did I startle you?," Mel looked down at him. All the stress
from the day had built up inside her. All she could do was laugh. He grinned.
"Well, a smile.," she blushed and got up, holding out a hand to help him up. He
was very tall, she realized, taller than her. He smiled. "Mind if I play?," She
shrugged. "Guess not.," He grabbed a stick while she set up the balls. Soon,
they were involved in an impressive game. Both were good players. David stuck
his tongue out slightly as he concentrated. Mel stifled a giggle. He looked soo
cute. He looked up. "What's so funny?," she grinned. "You. You look like a
little boy.," He grinned wickedly. "Not so little...especially where it
counts.," Mel stared. This was getting a little...hot. She set down her stick.
"Uh, gotta go.," She rushed from the room, ignoring his calls.
