A New Start
Part five
Mel got dressed the next
morning and headed down to the breakfast room. She avoided David's stare and
went to join David. Suddenly, a hand dropped down on her arm. She turned around.
A pretty girl was standing there, arms crossed. "Uh, hi. Can I help you?," The
girl sneered. "Yea. My name's Kelley. I'm Big Poppa Pumps girl. I heard you and
your little buddy gave him a wedgie yesterday.," Mel raised an eyebrow. "Yea?
And?," Kelley's eyes narrowed. "So, I think you should apologize.," Mel
stiffened. "Like heck. He was harassing the Nitro girls.," Kelley snorted. "Like
they didn't deserve it.," Mel stepped back. "Look, I don't want any trouble,
dear..," Kelley stepped closer. "Why don't you just admit it?," Mel frowned.
"Admit what?," Kelley grinned. "Your jealous. Cause Pappa Pump and Buff are with
me.," Mel scowled. "Oh, right. I just love big, conceited heads.," Kelley
scowled. "Why, you..," Scott and Marcus came up just then. "Hey, Kel. What's a
matter, babe?," Kelley smiled. "Just straighten this little girl out.," Mel
scowled. Jade came up beside her. Scott stared at them. "Ya know, this is dumb.
I think we need to settle this...in the ring.," Jade nodded. "Alright, steroid
boy. You name it.," Scott nodded. "Me, Marcus, and Kelley against you two and a
partner of your choice.," Mel bit her lip. Where were they gonna get a partner?
Jade looked at her. Suddenly, a figure came up beside her. Mel looked up. It was
David. "I'll be their partner. I've been looking for a chance to kick your
butt.," Scott laughed. "Alright. A little boy for two little girls. Works for
me. See ya on Nitro.," They walked off. Jade headed back to the table. David
looked at Mel shyly. "I hope you don't mind.," Mel smiled sweetly. "No. Thanks,
David.," He grinned. "Hey, sorry if I upset you last night. You just looked so
pretty..," Mel looked at her sneakers. "Hey, its alright. Look, I got to get to
Jade and Linzi. I'll see ya tomorrow.," He nodded. Then he kissed her cheek.
"See ya tomorrow.," Mel watched him walk off. Then she headed over to her
table.
