Gangsters
Part three
Don
Gianni Marchessi was stood in the centre of the room when Lissa and Linzi
entered. Scott was standing with his back to the window glaring angrily at
Chris, who was sprawled in a chair. Diamond quietly moved to his father's right
hand side. Lissa took the Don's outstretched right hand and kissed the ring on
it as she had seen men do to her father a thousand times before. Gianni took her
chin in his hand and turned her head from left to right, examining her features
closely.
He
nodded and released her.
"You
are pretty," he said making her blush, "I can see why Christopher
kidnapped you." Linzi giggled quietly beside her at the sight of Chris
blushing bright red. "The question remains what is to be done now?" No
one answered the obviously rhetorical question. "If we send a ransom note
it could start an all out war."
"It
could start that any way," growled Scott, "How could you be so stupid
Chris." Chris shrugged.
"I
doubt my father would be too worried about me." Said Lissa quietly. Gianni
looked at her sympathetically.
"You
will be our guest," he stated firmly, "Diamond, find out what Signor
Cianni is thinking. Send one of the boys round the streets." Linzi tugged
on Lissa's hand.
"Come
on. I'll show you your room." She smiled. Lissa followed Linzi upstairs.
"It'll
be great having someone to talk to," chattered Linzi, "Kelley is
always busy with the babies." Kelley fired a pillow at Linzi as they walked
into Lissa's new room.
"I
heard that." She grinned. She smoothed her hands over her bump, "I
can't help it if Scott and I love each other." Linzi rolled her eyes.
"Kelley
and I used to go to school together." Explained Linzi. "You want to be
careful, Lissa."
"Why?"
asked Lissa.
"Well
Kelley only came round for dinner," giggled Linzi, "And next thing you
know she was married and pregnant."
"And
has stayed pregnant ever since." Interjected Kim wryly. Kelley pouted and
gathered the twins in her arms.
"Boys
go tickle your nasty auntie Linzi," she told them, "and then your
nasty auntie Kim." Guiseppe's bottom lip wobbled.
"Auntie
Linzi not nasty Mama." He said, on the verge of tears. Linzi hugged him and
stuck her tongue out at Kelley. Lissa laughed and then felt a tug on her hand.
The other twin beckoned her. She lowered her head to his level.
