Facts: Dragons in general are warm blooded reptiles which are found in almost every culture's mythology. Dragons usually have large wings which they use to fly (duh!). A dragon's body is covered with scales. These scales act as armor and are usually extremely hard. Dragons can be classified many different ways. One of the most common ways of classifying dragons is color. Dragons come in almost any possible color. Most of the time a dragon's color reflects its abilities. For example, a red dragon typically breathes fire and a blue dragon usually breathes ice or lightning. Dragons can either be kind and benevolent or fierce fighters. Some dragons protect people while others seek to destroy them. Dragons have been known to attack countrysides or castles until they are defeated by a warrior or given a sacrifice. Typically, dragons live in caves and amass huge collections of gold and valuables. This is usually why dragons are hunted. The warrior who killed the dragon would recieve all of the dragon's riches. The dragon's life span is hard to judge. Some dragons have been known to live over 1000 years. However, none have died from old age. They usually are killed as a result of some disease or being killed by humans. Once again, if you would like to know more about dragons, just go to the web page address at the top of this page.
