appearance & personality):
Serena is medium height, medium weight, and medium figure, but she is
rather pretty, especially when she's not trying to be. Her hair is long
and golden, and she wears it loose and sort of spilling all over her like
sunlight. Her eyes are a wide emerald green, sad, but capable of looking
very amused.
Her personality seems distant at first, but once she gets to know you, she is very warm and caring, with just a touch of co-dependance. She likes comedy, and has a strong sense of justice.

Strengths:
She is fairly strong in all five Powers, but strongest in Fire and
Spirit. She has show signs of being able to Mind Heal, and can both
Fire Dance
and Fire Sculpt.
History:
She was born in Murandy, the eldest daughter of Jacen Ma'vron, most
successful scion of the Ma'vron family, and head and founder of Ma'vron
Incorporated, on of the most powerful corporations this side of the Dragon
Wall. She was raised to know the business, given the best education money
could buy, but was not very happy. By the time she was 10, her parents
were married in name only, her father never leaving his offices, and her
mother growing ever more distant and distracted. Serena grew up in a world
where she was constantly being upstaged by those who had only the best and
the most beautiful. Her three siblings even upstaged her, Alric a business
genius from a very young age, Sarila breathtakingly beautiful, and Calin a
remarkable sports player. She was only better than they in arts, and her
parents both agreed that was "hardly a worthwhile thing. Perhaps as a
hobby." She continued to write and dance despite them.
Given this neglect, it was unsurprising the result when someone showed up who did think her special-or at least gave all outward appearances of it. Marle De'arfin was handsome, older, a business genius rivaling Alric, and apparently captivated by a 16 year old Serena. She was understandably flattered, and a courtship commenced. Her father, delighted to have such a suitable young man take an interest in her, encouraged the relationship, and when Serena turned 17 they were engaged.
During this time Serena developed a secret she did not even tell Marle. It started when after a bad dream, she awoke and in a panicked need for light, created a fire. It was written off as faulty wires, but Serena *knew* better. She realized she could channel, but with so few things to make her unique, she kept this to herself. She was always strongest in things relating to fire, and discovered early on how to combine fire into her dancing for a startling effect. This saved her life. Three months before her 18th birthday, their house was firebombed in the dead of night. Only Serena was awake, practicing her Fire Dancing, and now she discovered a whole new form. As the flames consumed the house with supernatural speed, Serena used a skintight shield of Water to dance through them and escape. She went to her father's former butler, Jase, knowing that this tragedy's engineers would not allow her to survive. Her father's retired butler had been much more than just a butler in his time, and he was able to shelter her and help her try to find who was behind this. The trail led to the Shadow, and it became alarmingly apparent that the White Tower was somehow involved, too, suggesting Black Ajah. Serena was distracted by this when she was found by Marle, who was for all intents and purposes worried sick about her. She and Jase took him in to their confidences, after all, he was still Serena's fiance.
This was the last disaster. Marle was proved to be a Darkfriend, and he killed Jase, and nearly Serena. She escaped only by use of the True Source, letting that cat out of the bag. She spent months on the run, needing to be trained to control her abilities, but unable to go to Tar Valon after what she had learned. She was saved after hearing rumors of a Purple Tower, hidden from the White Tower and all authorities. She followed a trail of such rumors to New Manetheren, where she did find the PT, and some hope of safety. She took her Grandmother's maiden name, hoping to shed all ties to her life as a Ma'vron.
It failed. Or perhaps, if she had been less determined to fight the Shadow close and personal, to give it her all, it would not have. Shortly after Serena had just learned the Marle was now the Head of Ma'vron Incorporated, a man named Eddie came to the Imperial, with a story of an attempt to free the Dark One using only the best of today's technology. One of the sites that would have to be destroyed had a security system oringially furnished by her father's Security Division, and had back doors into it for use by family members. Serena accompanied a group of other Tower members to the site, and helped them destroy it, but not before encountering and both wounding and being Wounded by Marle. He, in turn, was able to find her before she could escape again, and he kidnapped her away from the others and took her to a lab in Murandy, where ultimatly Selena Ma'vron, who embraced her past as a Ma'vron even as Serena rejected it.
Summary:
Serena was raised to the silver spoon, and found she didn't like it
very much. Her family and father, head of an influential corporation, were
killed when her fiance proved to be a Darkfriend. She escaped by
channeling, and set off to find some training and hopefully a means of
justice. She came to the Purple Tower, which was a haven, since she loves

Hobbies & Interests:
Fantasy of any kind. To name a few of my authors, Jordan, Lackey, Eddings, Brooks, Shelly, Fiest, Williams, Rawn, Anthony, Goodkind, King. Alarmingly enough, that is just a few. I have what has to be the largest personal library of fantasy in this half of Pennsylvania. I like sci-fi, too, but mostly TV shows and movies. I love to write poetry, but I also hate it. I'm a confirmed clothes horse, but I never get to go anywhere to wear them. I'm an RP addict, belong to 10 groups now. I run two, two and a half of those, as well as being webmistress, since I am now an HTML code addict as well. I'm also an on again, off again font addict. I love crab, good hummous, and chocolate of any kind. I was raised by cats, and speak the language fluently for a human. Give me a creek or a lake and I'm happy. I love Fleamarkets, and have a year old son with nice gray fur and four legs....
