This is probably my favourite of the Final Fantasy games I've played. It has an unbelievable storyline and great character development. From the moment I first saw it, I knew I had to play it. Being relatively young at the time, and, alas, having a broader imagination, I became quite emotionally attached to the game. I dreamed about it, and thought about it in most of my spare time. That hasn't really happened with any other game. Of course, there's no reason why any adult can't become attached to the game as well. I know Peter Olafson, the author of an FF6 (or FF3 in North America) player's guide did. The other major strong point in the game was the music. I believe this not only to be one of the best video game soundtracks of all time, but probably the best soundtrack, period (right up there with John Williams' Star Wars soundtrack).
